Abstract:
In recent years, nanomaterials have attracted great interest in food packaging due to their unique properties. Nanoscale titanium dioxide, recognized for its excellent biocompatibility, photocatalytic, and antibacterial properties, is considered a functional nanofiller in biodegradable food packaging films. This paper introduces the preparation method of nano-TiO
2 composite films, analyzes the diverse functions of the composite films in UV shielding, antibacterial activity, ethylene removal, and smart response, summarizes the latest research progress of nano-TiO
2 composite films widely used in the preservation of fruits, vegetables, and meat packaging, discusses the safety hazards of nano-TiO
2 in food packaging, and prospects its development, aiming to provide theoretical references and new insights for the future research on functional and intelligent food packaging in the field of nano-TiO
2 composite films.
